M8-340 Fiber Optic/Ethernet
The M8-340 module features a Layer 3 Ethernet switch with two external industrial Ethernet ports (RJ45) and one Gigabit SFP port. This allows direct connection of IP meters or other IP-based devices. The modular SFP port supports standard fiber optic and GPON technologies with transmission rates of 100 Mbit/s or 1000 Mbit/s.
