Our history

To mark the 15th anniversary of Semax AG, we are celebrating this special milestone together with our employees and customers.

With the M3-340 G3 PLC gateway and the Blue2Box, we are bringing new, innovative products to the market.

With our new location at Hinterberg 26 in Steinhausen, we are doubling our production and storage space.

With the Amera DC 2.0, the successful market launch is achieved – the PLC link between the Amera system and the ERS801 meter.

In 2022, we will mark an important milestone with the launch of our own production facility in Cham, Zug.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Semax , we are celebrating the launch of the eRS801 electricity meter.

Since 2020, Semax has been implementing Semax AG has been successfully implementing various projects together with Ensor AG.

Since 2019, Semax AG has been operating as a system integrator for smart metering systems in Switzerland. We offer a complete range of services from Zmeter parameterization to communication, system, and interface engineering to the digitization of all smart metering processes.

Semax AG has been ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified since 2018, guaranteeing the highest quality and security standards.

Since 2017, we have been successfully represented on the market with two smart metering systems.

Since 2015, we have been manufacturing Honeywell Elster AS3000 and AS3500 electricity meters in Cham. The devices are labeled and parameterized according to customer specifications. The entire production process, including calibration and testing, is carried out in accordance with MID and national approvals in Switzerland.

Thanks to the wide range of products and local expertise, demand has risen steadily. Semax Semax AG is expanding and employs over 75 people in production, sales, engineering, and development.

Severin Fischer founded Semax AG in 2011. In its founding year, the company took over representation of Elster GmbH throughout Switzerland and focused on electricity meters and metering systems from the outset.
